LGBT Health Services

San Joaquin General Hospital and San Joaquin County Clinics offer compassionate care for all patients. We are focused on delivering high-quality care to all of our patients. We can be relied upon to be a trusted health provider to our diverse communities, a significant portion of which identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT).

Pursuant to our mission statement, it is our goal to provide compassionate and equitable care to all San Joaquin County residents regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

Both our General Hospital and County Clinic’s mission statements express the commitment to all people, including the LGBT community. We are participants in the Healthcare Equality Index, which is published by the educational arm of Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the country's largest LGBT civil rights organization. San Joaquin General Hospital and County Clinics adhere strictly to The Joint Commission standards, as well as, the new statutory requirements prohibiting discrimination.

How We Our Commitment to the LGBT Community:

  1. Inclusiveness and acceptance of all community members is a leadership directive from both Hospital / Clinic Administration and Medical Staffs.
  2. We are a public proponent and protector of all human rights.
